The Inheritance Launch – Legacies of A Tall Order!

You’re warmly invited to the launch of Inheritance, a new microsite celebrating and preseving the rich exhibition archive of Touchstones in the 1980s and 1990s.

Inheritance brings important stories of artists, exhibitions and ideas to new audiences from an archive rooted in Touchstones’ history as a radical, civic and community focused institution. The project to digitise our archive reveals politically engaged exhibition development and includes work exploring New Wave Feminism, community identity, protest participation, Anti-Racism advocacy, working class life and the Queering of art history.

This microsite shares highlights from the archive alongside new research, contributions from emerging academics and community perspectives, opening up this important cultural history for exploration and discovery.
