Second Saturday Family Activities – Art Monster Safari Park

Create a collaged monster from artworks that span history and add it to our safari park scene

On the Second Saturday of every month, Guildhall Art Gallery runs themed family events. For October’s Second Saturday, as part of the Art History Festival, we’ll be looking back through time to create something brand new from collaged artworks and mixed materials. There will also be story time, a book corner with cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.

• Creative Activities – 11 am – 4 pm
Art is as old as humanity. Take inspiration from art through time to create your own art history-inspired monster to add to our Art Monster Safari Park. Will yours combine medieval creatures, surrealist animals, Egyptian animal-human hybrids, or the elements from the artworks around you?
• Story Time – 11 am and 2 pm
