National Portrait Gallery Schools hub

Schools hub is the National Portrait Gallery’s FREE online resource hub for schools.

From simple ‘History explainer’ videos to step-by-step portrait analysis guides, and interviews with leading experts, this ever-growing hub of over 200 curriculum-linked resources and videos enriches History learning for students of all ages. Drawing on the Gallery’s world-class collection of over 200,000 portraits, and spanning diverse histories from the past 500 years Schools hub resources develop students’ enquiry and critical thinking skills through personal stories. Themes include Tudors, Migration, Transatlantic Slavery, Significant Figures, Women’s Suffrage, British civil rights, and the British Empire.
