Heritage Visit: The Life of Arthur Knighton-Hammond talk & Guided Tour of exhibition
Join NTU at Brackenhurst Campus for an evening exploring the life and work of Nottingham-born artist Arthur Knighton-Hammond (1875–1970).
The event begins with a talk by the artist’s biographer, Peter Norris, introducing Knighton-Hammond’s life, influences and artistic development, followed by a guided or self-guided tour of the exhibition in Main Hall.
Spanning more than 75 years, his work evolved from landscape painting to industrial commissions and portraiture, reflecting strong connections to place, people and industry. The exhibition features oil paintings, watercolours, drawings and etchings, with works generously loaned to the NTU Art Collection by Michael Hammond and Peter Norris.
