Encouraged by his mother, Bryan Pearce started painting at a young age around his home town of St. Ives. In his artwork, he paints the life around him from his own unique perspective and became well known for his harbour scenes, full of life and interest. Upon his death, a large collection of Bryan Pearce’s artworks came to the museum, including some of his earliest work from the early 1950s.
