Branch Out | Curator’s Talk and Collage Workshop Inspired by Cecil Beaton’s Garden Party
This workshop is a part of the Garden Museum’s Branch Out Programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, history, design, and more!
Collage your own 3D garden scene while learning about Cecil Beaton from Garden Museum Curator, Emma House. Be inspired by Beaton’s passion for gardening and his iconic fashion photography, costume and set design for film, theatre, and ballet. You will design and make a floral diorama to look like a theatre set, then enjoy a lecture on our current exhibition ‘Cecil Beaton’s Garden Party’.
We hope that this workshop inspires a connection between nature and your own creative practice like Cecil Beaton’s gardening did for him.
