Transnational Diaries: A Conversation
Peltz Gallery invites you to an in-conversation event and private view of Transnational Diaries. Drawing on workshops with Chinese migrant traders in Brazil, it traces the movement of people, goods and relationships across continents and generations. Developed from an oral history project, the exhibition explores how stories, memories and lived experiences can be translated through photography, text and collaborative practices. The installation of printed fabric creates an immersive landscape of movement and exchange. Originally exhibited in Belo Horizonte, Transnational Diaries emerged from a British Academy-funded project, while its own journey from Brazil to the UK mirrors the stories it tells.
