SMALL WONDERS: Masterworks by Alfred Cohen
The Alfred Cohen Museum in the beautiful Norfolk village of Wighton is marking the 25th anniversary of the American artist’s death with the mini-retrospective ‘SMALL WONDERS: Masterworks by Alfred Cohen’ – 25 superb works of beauty, feeling, and humour.
As Cohen wrote: ‘Abundant energy and imagination can be found within the dimensions of a small canvas’. ‘
The exhibition includes landscapes, seascapes, interiors and figures, and represents all five decades of Cohen’s career. Also featured is the Museum’s latest acquisition, a stunning bronze portrait of Cohen’s friend the Oscar-winning actor Anthony Quinn.
Director Max Saunders will give a talk on the exhibition, and a tour through the Museum.
‘SMALL WONDERS’ continues till 21 December.
